the list you already have

Email campaigns, written and sent for you

One designed email a week, in your voice, going to the people who already know your name. The cheapest audience you will ever reach is the one that already gave you their address.

The audience you already paid for

Most small businesses have a list of customer email addresses sitting in a spreadsheet or a point of sale system, doing nothing. Those people already bought from you once. They already know your name and already decided you were worth the money. Reaching them costs you close to nothing.

Meanwhile the same business is spending real money trying to get in front of strangers who have never heard of them. That is backwards, and it is backwards almost everywhere we look.

Email is unfashionable, which is part of why it still works. Nobody is competing for attention in an inbox the way they are competing in a feed. And unlike a social following, a list is actually yours. No algorithm sits between you and the people on it, and no platform can change the rules and cut your reach in half overnight.

What the weekly email actually is

Not a newsletter in the sense of a wall of text nobody finishes. One email, designed, short enough to read on a phone while waiting for coffee, with one clear reason to pay attention.

What goes in it depends on the business. For a restaurant it is what is on this week and what sold out last week. For a trade it is a job you just finished with a photo, plus the seasonal thing people should be doing right now. For a retailer it is what came in and what is nearly gone. For a professional service it is one useful thing you know that your customers do not.

The consistent part is that it comes every week whether or not you have anything to sell. That is the point. The business people call is the one they thought of most recently, and showing up in the inbox is how you get thought of. A campaign that only arrives when you need money reads exactly like that.

Your list stays yours

We send through your own email provider, under your account. That is deliberate and it matters for three reasons.

  • The list belongs to you. If you stop working with us, nothing moves and nothing is held. You keep your subscribers and your history.
  • Your sending reputation stays clean. Sending from your own domain, built up over time, is what keeps you out of the spam folder. Shared agency infrastructure is how deliverability quietly dies.
  • You can see everything. Open rates, unsubscribes, what went out and when. Nothing is behind a login only we have.

If you do not have a provider set up, we will get you running on an affordable sender and handle the setup, including the domain records that keep your mail landing in inboxes. That part is fiddly and easy to get wrong, and getting it wrong is how a business ends up in spam for months without knowing it.

What gets opened and what gets ignored

A few things decide whether a weekly email gets read, and none of them are the design.

The sender name matters more than the subject line. People scan the inbox by who it is from and decide in about half a second. Sending as your business name, consistently, week after week, is what builds the recognition that gets you opened. Switching between a personal name, the business name, and a campaign alias undoes that.

The subject should say what is inside. Clever subjects get opened once and trained against quickly. A plain description of the useful thing in the email beats a tease almost every time, because the people on your list already know you and do not need to be baited.

Short wins. Most of these get read on a phone, often standing up, usually in a few seconds. One idea, one reason to care, one thing to do. A long email does not get more attention, it gets scrolled past.

Consistency beats timing. A lot of energy gets wasted arguing about the best day and hour to send. In practice, arriving on the same day every week matters far more than which day it is, because that is what turns your email into something people expect rather than something that interrupts them.

None of this is complicated. It is just easy to get wrong when you are writing the email at eleven at night because you remembered you were supposed to.

The first week of working together is mostly cleanup. Your list gets imported and the dead addresses get taken out, which matters more than it sounds, because sending to addresses that bounce is one of the faster ways to end up in spam folders. The unsubscribe gets set up properly at the same time.

After that we agree a rough shape for the weekly email so nobody is staring at a blank page every Monday. Then we write it, you look at it, and it goes out. Most clients review every email for the first month and then stop, which is the normal arc and a good sign.

From $150 a month for one email a week, written, designed, and sent. More frequent sending, segmented campaigns, or automated sequences are quoted separately. We are happy to tell you if your list is too small to be worth it yet, in which case building the list comes first.

Common questions

How big does my list need to be?

Smaller than most people assume. A few hundred past customers who actually know you is worth more than a few thousand cold addresses. If your list is genuinely too small to justify the cost we will tell you, and building it comes first.

Will this get me marked as spam?

Not if it is set up properly and you are emailing people who gave you their address. The things that cause spam problems are buying lists, sending from misconfigured domains, and hiding the unsubscribe. We do none of those, and we set up the domain records that keep your mail landing.

What if I do not have an email provider?

We get you set up on an affordable sender and handle the configuration, including the domain records. The account is in your name from the start, so the list and the sending reputation are yours whatever happens later.

What if I have nothing to say that week?

That is the normal case and it is what you are paying us to solve. We build a simple recurring shape so nobody is inventing a theme from scratch every week, and a finished job, a seasonal reminder, or one useful thing you know is almost always enough.

Have a list sitting unused?

Tell us roughly how many addresses you have and what you sell. We will tell you honestly whether weekly email is worth it for your business.
